Danila L. McAsey, M.A., CCC-SLP/L

 

Danila received her undergraduate degree in speech-language pathology and audiology from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1972. She immediately chose to pursue a graduate degree and earned her Master of Arts degree in speech-language pathology at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa in 1974. Upon earning her degree, she worked in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa schools with hearing impaired students.  From 1979 to 1994 she worked with children and adults with developmental disabilities at the Peoria Association of Retarded Citizens, Inc. (PARC).  Danila joined Barbara Walvoord and Donna Evans as a partner/owner at Speech and Language Rehabilitation Service, Ltd. in September, 1994.    

 

Danila has given presentations and conducted workshops on a variety of subjects related to the field of speech-language pathology at local and state meetings and school district inservices for speech-language pathologists, educators and other professionals. Danila is active in the Peoria Speech-Language Hearing Association (PASHA) and has held several offices including president.  She received the Honors of the Association from PASHA in 1993 and was the recipient of the Advocate of the Year award from PARC in 1996. She was named a Fellow of the Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association in 2006. Danila served as the Vice-President for Professional Affairs for the Illinois Speech-Language Hearing Association (ISHA) and is now the immediate Past-President of ISHA. Currently she also serves as the board secretary of the Hult Center for Healthy Living and the chair of the Membership and Professional Standards Committee of PASHA.

Christine M. Fletcher, M.S., CCC-SLP/L

 

Christine received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana in 1990. After working with children and adolescents in a variety of psychiatric settings for five years, she decided to pursue a graduate degree in speech-language pathology. Christine received a Master of Science degree in communication disorders from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota in 1998. She has 16 years of experience working as a speech-language pathologist in a variety of settings including private practice, public schools and skilled nursing facilities.

 

Christine has a special interest in Early Intervention, voice and voice disorders, foreign accent modification cleft palate speech habilitation, and head and neck cancer rehabilitation. She has earned four Awards for Continuing Education from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Christine has been active in the Peoria Area Speech-Language-Hearing Association (PASHA) and has held several offices including president. She currently serves as PASHA Treasurer and as an Area Representative to the Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ISHA). She received the Honors of the Association from PASHA in 2004. She has also served as Convention Coordinator for ISHA.

 

Christine sings with the Bradley Community Chorus and the Peoria Bach Festival Choir and is a frequent soloist and ensemble singer at Willow Hill Methodist Church. Christine and her husband, Scott, have three daughters and live in Germantown Hills.

Nikki Campbell, M.S., CCC-SLP/L

 

Nikki received her undergraduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Illinois State University in May 2001. She continued her training at ISU, completing her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology in June 2003. Nikki joined Speech and Language Rehabilitation Service, Ltd. in June 2003 and currently works part time. Nikki is a Past- President of the Peoria Area Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Megan Sanders

 

Megan received her undergraduate degree in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Illinois in May 2006. She continued her training at the U of I, completing her Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology in May 2008. Megan began her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Sunrise Children’s Hospital and Henderson Speech Hearing and Language Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. She returned to central Illinois after accepting a position with the Children’s Hospital of Illinois to be closer to her family and friends. Megan joined Speech and Language Rehabilitation Service, Ltd. in March of 2010.

Donna Evans, M.A, CCC-SLP/L

 

Donna received her undergraduate degree in speech and hearing therapy from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio in 1972. After working as a speech therapist for two years, she decided to pursue a graduate degree in speech-language pathology. Donna earned her Master of Arts degree in speech pathology at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio in 1977. She joined Barbara Walvoord as a partner/owner at Speech and Language Rehabilitation Service, Ltd. in 1986. Donna retired as a partner and full time therapist in December 2012. She works part-time in Bloomington.  

 

Donna is a past president of the Central Illinois Speech-Language Hearing Association (CISHA) and  Life Center for Independent Living in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois.

Jill L. Haddad, Office Manager

 

Jill attended Illinois Central College in East Peoria, IL where she majored in marketing and management. She worked for eight years in the speech department at the Peoria Association for Retarded Citizens, Inc. (PARC) as a paraprofessional under the supervision of a licensed speech language pathologist and as the secretary to the Director of Communications at PARC.

 

She joined Speech and Language Rehabilitation Service, Ltd. as our office manager in March, 1999.
