Treatment for Communication Issues in Young Children

It is never too early to address communication issues in children. The therapists at Speech and Language Rehabilitation Service, Ltd. are certified in Illinois as Early Intervention Specialists in speech-language pathology and provide services to children under the age of three and their families.

These therapists have completed additional training in treating speech, and language disorders associated with cleft palate, hearing loss, childhood apraxia of speech and autism spectrum disorder, as well as pediatric feeding disorders. These services can be provided in the child’s home, daycare, or community environment.

As part of our personalized team approach, we work closely with the child’s family, primary care and specialty physicians, other providers Early Intervention Providers, as well as other professionals (e.g. counselors, teachers, daycare providers, etc.) to achieve the most effective
and efficient results.

All Early Intervention services are coordinated through the Child and Family Connections office #14 for Peoria, Woodford and Tazewell counties.
